Showing the destination, not just the usual.

For hotels, restaurants and hospitality brands in Amsterdam and internationally. Property, neighbourhood and documentary imagery that shows guests what it feels like to be there.

Most hospitality imagery shows the same things.

A wide angle shot of a room. An empty bar. The building facade. A breakfast table before anyone has arrived. Stock imagery on the walls for decoration.

Useful, but rarely memorable.

Guests rarely only book a room. They book a feeling. A neighbourhood. A sense of where they will wake up, walk, eat, look around and remember later.

That is why adding or upgrading to stronger imagery is a business decision, not decoration.

Photography that reflects the life around your venue makes your brand more specific, more human and more desirable. It helps guests understand not only what they are booking, but why they want to be there.

Hospitality is not only about where people sleep, eat or drink. It is about where they feel they have arrived.

I photograph mostly with available light. I am not trying to make travel look perfect. I am trying to make it feel true. For me, the strongest image is not always the most spectacular one. It is the one that stays with you quietly after the journey is over.
